How Does LIFEcard Home Work?
Register and enter your
emergency contact list for a property. LIFEcard™ will then send
you as many LIFEcard Home™ decals as you need with
your
property's official account number.
Place the decals in visible locations such as
on doors or windows so
that authorities or neighbors will be able to act quickly and
remedy the situation in your best interest should anything
happen to your property.
If something should
happen to your property, concerned parties will use the account number provided on the LIFEcard Home™ decals
to contact your emergency list. This is done by logging on to
the Internet or by calling LIFEcard™ directly.
Here is an example of how the
LIFEcard Home™
Program works:
While you are away on vacation, lightning from a thunderstorm
knocks down a tree limb that crashes through your front window.
Police see the damage and stop to survey it. Usually, there is
no contact information or any means for them to help the
homeowner. But in this case, they spot the LIFEcard Home™ decal
on the front door and contact LIFEcard Services™. The dispatcher
accesses the contact information and is able to call you, your
brother who lives nearby and your insurance agent to have the
window boarded up.
